Ivy Private’s Why
Creating cultures of Psychological Safety
Dr. Jane Woodbridge, a clinical psychologist with extensive experience treating individuals suffering from serious psychological injuries sustained in the workplace, developed the First Aid for Mental Health course to help prevent such harm before it occurs. Having seen the devastating impact of unmanaged psychosocial risks, she was driven to create a course that empowers people with the knowledge and confidence to respond early, supportively, and effectively to mental health challenges.
Her vision was to contribute to a safer and more compassionate society—across workplaces, families, and communities—where mental health struggles are recognised, taken seriously, and met with informed care rather than silence or stigma. Dr. Woodbridge founded Ivy Private Mental Health Training to offer this essential education online, maximising flexibility for busy teams and reducing the disruption of traditional in-person training.
By allowing staff to complete the course at their own pace, Ivy Private ensures organisations can build a culture of psychological safety without sacrificing productivity.
